As you may have noticed, we all had a great time on Saturday night! Everybody loved the food, and it was so relaxing to have someone serving drinks and - of course - clearing up. You may have realised that there were a couple of ex-hoteliers and also restaurant owners around the table, not to mention a lot of people who eat in well-regarded restaurants, so well done for pleasing a pretty exacting group.....We are hoping to spend a little longer in the Long House next summer, and so would love to keep up to date with progress on the restaurant.

September 2017 – Joint 18th/21st Birthday Party, Burgh Apton – 150 Guests
The food you prepared for our party was above superb. Our guests were unstinting in their praise and appreciation both of the food and the young team who were in attendance on the evening.

For our part, as I’ve said in our letter, you held our party in your hands and made it the success it was. To be totally honest I don’t think words will ever adequately express how successful you were on the 16th. I am just hoping that even with the restaurant, you will still be prepared to pull out of the hat a future event on our behalf.

Dear Natalie and Dan. We wanted to thank you for the efficient and professional way in which you organised our family party last weekend and at relatively short notice. The food was outstanding, of an extremely high standard and beautifully presented. To be able to feed more than 100 people from a makeshift kitchen to that standard is a great accomplishment. The service from your waiting staff was attentive and friendly. Many of our guests commented on the attention to detail and the way in which your teams worked so well, making everyone feel that they were being well looked after. We know that your ambition is to open a Socius restaurant in North Norfolk in the future and we have no doubt that you will make a huge success of it. We have had many incredible dining experiences at home and abroad including the Pier restaurant at the Al Qasr, Dubai but my Socius experience surpassed all that had gone before. The food was amazing with, what can only be described as, a special front of house service, all of which allowed us to host our dinner party as relaxed as the rest of my guests. Socius covered it all, from setting the table to describing each delicious course, with wonderful matched wines to leaving my kitchen spotless. Thank you Natalie and Dan for such a perfect night. This memory will stay with us for a very long time.

Really enjoyed the food served at a private party last night. Small plates and bowls were brought round so the guests could keep mingling and we got to sample a variety of dishes. Especially enjoyed the sea bass and the chocolate mousse was divine.

I apologise in advance for the delay in sending this but i thought it vital to highlight people of Natalie's outstanding professionalism, enthusiasm and charm. The above attributes were not just noticeable on said weekend but from the outset. Her enthusiasm and passion coupled with a want to make our day truly special really hit us.With us living in Singapore, Natalie always replied punctually, in detail and concisely. She reduced our workload tenfold (which wasn't the case with other people we dealt with) and also took on board all of our requests and worked hard to achieve what we had planned. On the weekend itself, Natalie was always on hand and approachable if we had a question and we can’t thank her enough for contributing so much to a day which neither of us will ever forget. Superlatives don't do her justice. Once again many thanks for a wonderful weekend which we will enjoy and cherish forever.

Dear Natalie, Where to begin! I cannot thank you enough for your outstanding contribution towards making the event come together this weekend. As we all know it was a complex and changeable event with lots of last minute variables from the end client that were out of our control and meant being reactive a lot of the time. I am only too aware that this is a very tricky way of working and not a caterer’s dream scenario! I am grateful to you for persevering and keeping a level head and remaining charming and accommodating throughout, and for relaying all the changes to your team, which may not have been popular changes sometimes. You did an excellent job and are a brilliant planner and I hope people tell you that often. There are event planners who are good, and then there are people like you – different league. Major league! Have a wonderful, richly deserved holiday and celebrate your birthday in style in Turkey.
